adult beginner with 5 half-hour lessons plus one month of “self-review” tries not to mangle (too badly, that is) one of her favorite pieces. it’s kinda on the terrible side, and obviously needs more practice hahaha

still havent reached the point of using the fourth finger, how to do slurs, and using that much amount of bow. but i tried to simplify the piece so i can play it by trasposing it to G major and “slurring” because its easier to do.

btw, the title of this piece is nowhere here just in case it comes out as an entirely different melody due to bad intonation and lack of rhythm! :-D

    thanks for the tips …
thanks for the tips! :) i like to believe that i’ve somehow improved my playing now (roughly 6 months after this was taken), though i don’t get to practice as much because of my hectic work schedule. :(

good luck with your playing! i can imagine how difficult it must be to bow with your non-dominant hand… as it is, i’m a righty and it’s darn difficult to control the thing. how long have you been learning the violin? please do upload a vid of yourself too! :)

    thanks! but …
thanks! but actually, i already knew how to play this song on another instrument, so the memorization was no problem :) if anything, what is extraordinary about this vid is that i actually had the gall to record my squeaky attempt! :) LOL

oh and also iw as …
oh and also iw as told by someone to try and stay in the lower mid section of the frog(bow) when first starting out because it gives you more control until you get use to bowing. uuhh for me bow harder im lefty and i play a right handed violin for now at least. I’m gonna learn both ways eventually. Good luck

    anong song yan? …
anong song yan? hehehe… just curious. You have a nice straight bow, try mo gamitin lahat ng hair. as in ilapat mo talaga sya. Mas maganda yung ma-proproduce mo ng sound. This video is not bad for a beginner like you. :) nice nga eh… keep it up.
